On this tour you traverse a restricted permit only access 4WD track through the Kuranda State Forest, Kuranda National Park and Mowbray National Park passing to the left of Black Mountain.
Kuranda National Park is renowned as being a safe haven for the elusive Cassowary so keep your eyes peeled.
Learn what plants Aboriginal people used for food, medicine, fibre and timber for implements and tools.
Julatten is a small farming community situated at the northern end of Black Mountain Road in the Great Dividing Range just west of Port Douglas. Enjoy the panoramic views as we leave Julatten and descend the range into Beautiful Port Douglas.

Spend 2 hours in beautiful Port Douglas, the playground of the rich and famous. Shop in Macrossan Street or just browse. Check out the Shipwreck Museum. Take a leisurely walk along the beach or have a cup of coffee and watch the world go by. You never know you may spot a movie star.
You then travel back to Cairns and your accommodation via the coast road taking in the beautiful scenery on the way.
